The iTaukei Trust Fund Board was established to advance the standards of living of iTaukei and Rotumans through a better utilisation of their resources and to conserve and enhance their cultures, traditions, norms, languages and values. Our goal is for today’s youth and future generations to be grounded in language, culture and a way of life that fosters a strong identity and resiliency. iTaukei Trust Fund Board embraces sustainable development goals while at the same time ensures the safeguarding of intangible cultural heritage.

Our Engagements

Masi Theatrical Production

iTTFB sponsored the participation of 6 male Fijian dancers (including the choreographer) and contributed towards scripting the piece. ‘Masi’ was staged at the NZ International Arts Festival


The iTaukei Trust Fund Board’s Publishing House supports authors in their quest to publish by helping produce documents of appropriate scope and quality in both English and Fijian languages. Publications include books, DVDs, primary and secondary school texts and teaching materials.

Vanua Fieldworkers Program

The aim of the Vanua Fieldworkers’ Network is to record and document significant aspects of intangible cultural heritage and indigenous knowledge for the purpose of further research and cultural exhibitions. Intangible cultural heritage includes, ritual practices, classification systems, language, details of particular cultural landscapes and sites, and records of historical or contemporary events.
