The province of Namosi has become the sixth province to take up the traditional leadership and good governance training titled Vuli ni Sausauvou. The Vuli ni Sausauvou training programme is a collaboration between the iTaukei Affairs Board (TAB) and the iTaukei Trust Fund Board (TTFB).

In opening the training earlier this week, the Assistant Minister of Rural and Maritime Development and Disaster Management, Hon. Jale Sigarara stressed to the trainees the importance of a training as such and grasping its key tenets which can be insightful for them when practically applying the lessons post-training. He also imparted the important supporting role that the church had within the vanua. Adding that trainees needed to absorb and take in as much as they can from this valuable training, so that they can enhance good governance within their areas of responsibilities within their vanua.
The first term of this year’s training is expected to be concluded by the end of June 2022.
The Vuli ni Sausauvou training is earmarked for all fourteen provinces of Fiji and Rotuma. To date the provinces of Rewa, Tailevu, Ba, Nadroga, Navosa and Serua have completed the training.
