This time is marked by the flowering of the timber tree dakuwa salusalu. During this month begins the harvesting of cultivated yam and setting up yam storage sheds (lololo) in the fields. In the month, the first presentations of this noble crop are made to the chief and the church.
There is plentiful harvest of breadfruit (uto), taro (dalo), cassava (tavioka) and the Polynesian chestnut (ivi).
Fruiting trees such as oranges (moli), wi and dawa are in abundance and ready for picking.
In the sea the fish fences (ba) are full. One can find smaller fish such as malau and voro, replacing the goatfish (ki).
