The Tikina o Nawaka Strategic and Business Planning Workshop commenced on 22–23 September 2025 at the Nawaka Village Hall in Nadi.

The workshop is supported by the iTaukei Trust Fund Board (TTFB) and facilitated by Maxumise

In his opening remarks, the CEO of TTFB Mr Aisake Taito highlighted the importance of strategic planning as a foundation for sustainable growth and empowerment of iTaukei communities.

The program was officially opened by Na Momo na Tui Nawaka, Ratu Joeli Bulu Derenalagi, who reminded participants of their new leadership journey, and the importance of fully utilising this opportunity to contribute to the development of their tikina.

Over 40 participants, representing the five villages of Nawaka, took part in the two days discussions, marking the beginning of a collaborative effort to design a roadmap for their future.

The iTaukei Trust Fund Board remains committed to supporting resource owners through capacity building and planning initiatives that strengthen leadership and economic development at the grassroots level.
