SOLESAU (An online Learning Platform)

The Solesau is the iTaukei Trust Fund Board’s online Learning Platform predominantly focusing on iTaukei cultural norms and traditions, language, kinships, traditional relationships and ties and customs in general.

Within this online learning platform are sixteen activities which teaches the user on various aspects which advocate and promote the iTaukei culture. The Solesau is designed to assist with iTaukei families, in particular parents who now reside out of Fiji and are raising their families in their new found country. Its easy-to-follow exercises will greatly assist families and parents alike on the basic principles of the iTaukei culture.

The Solesau has been produced with the engagement and involvement of a wide cross-section of stakeholders including the Ministry of the iTaukei Affairs, Department of Heritage, Fiji Museum, Fijian Teachers Association and the Ministry of Education. It has been developed by the Centre of Flexible Learning based at the University of the South Pacific.
