Our logo draws its inspiration from two symbols deeply rooted in our islands and people. The majestic Pacific Ocean, embodying our heritage as seafarers, represents our reliance on the Sun and stars for guidance, much like our forefathers. From these life-sustaining waters, we present the Golden Cowrie, one of the rarest and most exotic marine shells. For the iTaukei, the Golden Cowrie is a sacred totem of mana and good fortune, worn traditionally by chieftains as a symbol of status, prestige, and power.

Encircling the Golden Cowrie are the dynamic rays of the Sun. The blue rays reflect our connection to the ocean, while the red symbolizes our sovereignty and unity. Though independent, we remain interconnected through traditional blood ties. This shared strength empowers us to forge ahead together, innovatively adapting to an ever-changing world.

FAQS

The iTaukei Trust Fund Board (TTFB) was established to promote the cultural, economic, and social advancement of Fiji’s indigenous iTaukei people. TTFB supports programs that focus on cultural preservation, education, sustainable development, and leadership training, ensuring that the iTaukei community thrives in a rapidly changing world.

TTFB funds and organizes initiatives that preserve the unique cultural heritage of both iTaukei and Rotuman peoples. This includes supporting cultural events, leadership training, educational programs, and economic development projects that empower individuals in both communities.

TTFB is headquartered in Suva, Fiji, and currently does not have branch offices outside of Suva. However, TTFB’s programs and initiatives reach communities across the country, including the island of Rotuma.
